Mother's Day

So, I forgot to do a post about Mother's Day and it deserves its own post because it was a great day!

Hadley and her dad did a wonderful job picking out a card and the perfect gifts. 

Hadley helped me open the card. 

MUCH to my surprise, my big sweetie of a husband made a book out of my blog! I mentioned doing this earlier in the year but hadn't made much progress on it. He came through for me! Most of you reading this know that I'm not much of a reader. BUT this book I will read again and again!

It was the best present ever!

We also celebrated the special day with my mom and sister. Hadley was happy about it!

Back to reality

Since we're back in the real world of work, laundry, and all the other everyday tasks...I'm reminiscing about some of the highlights from our vacation.

I put Hadley to bed after a long, long travel day. I checked in on her a few minutes later and it took me a second to figure out what I was looking at. 

She'd covered herself completely with her (very thin, breathable) blanket.  She should sleep very good tonight. At least, I really hope she does.
