Post bath pre bed

Yesterday

Yesterday started off with Hadley using an umbrella as a parasol to protect her from the bright sun. 

Later that day she had dance. Here she is coming out of class.  

Two of her dance teachers followed her out to tell me that Hadley elected not to do her somersault because she was very busy "building fortresses with her tights."  They were cracking up telling me. She normally always participates in everything during class but I guess if you're busy building fortresses you're probably too busy for somersaults. 

I have no idea where she learns this stuff. I asked her what a fortress was and she told me "it has lots and lots of snakes inside." Well...maybe we still need a little work on this one. 

Once home from dance it was time for dinner. 

And then Dr. Hadley (that's what she calls herself) had to conduct several checkups on me, on Dada, and on herself. Luckily, we were all fine. 

It's very serious business when Dr. Hadley is around. 

Sunny Saturday

Saturday started off with a delicious breakfast at Cracker Barrel. 

And since Hadley was so good during breakfast, she got to pick a treat on our way out. 

Then we went home and played outside. 

And enjoyed our swing. 

Then lunch and a nap!!

Cartoons

Hadley is mesmerized by some of her favorite cartoons. The cartoons that top her list these days are: Paw Patrol, Bubble Guppies, Team Umizoomi, Dora the Explorer, Peppa Pig, Max and Ruby and I'm sure I'm forgetting some others. She doesn't watch all of them every day mind you but, she loves them and learns a lot from them. And who are we kidding, we watched as much tv as we wanted when we were growing up...and we turned out just fine! :)

And just so Bella and Cane don't feel left out, here we are last night sharing some love.

Lately

Bella got a new bed since she and Cane don't share their big bed very well.  Hadley had to try it out to make sure it was ok.

Once it was determined to be up to Hadley's high standards, Bella got to try it out.

Bella and Cane are ready for some warmer weather to run and play.

Hadley's been busy playing...

...being silly...

...having apple slices in bed while watching cartoons...

...and just being sweet.

Play doh

Hadley's new favorite toy is play doh. She can be entertained by it for hours which makes the mess left behind totally worth it!

It's the best way we've found to potty train. Just go bottomless at home. So far so good! 

Lately

Lately, Hadley's been giving us eye exams...

...watching videos in the car while eating a breakfast burrito...

...feeding the dogs...

 

...smiling...

...playing...

...while the dogs stay on the lookout.
