Busy Weekend, Part 2

If our Saturday was busy, then our Sunday was really busy.

We got up early.  Hadley had a bottle and immediately wanted to practice walking.

Then we got ready and went to church.

Then her morning nap.  As evident by the picture below, she woke up a very happy girl!

Then we went out to my mom's for a late birthday lunch celebration for me.

Beef tenderloin, salmon, marinaded asparagus, deviled eggs, potato salad, and onions and cucumbers in vinegar! Yum!

Everyone was happy about that meal!

Even Bella and Cane.

My favorite, lemon jello cake!

And because my sister and I have almost always had joint birthday celebrations, she had some candles to blow out too.  She took that opportunity to let Hadley practice on blowing out candles since it will be her turn in a couple short months!

Then we all came home and crashed for an afternoon nap.

Then we had more Father's Day celebration with a delicious cookout.  I was clearly too engrossed by food and Hadley to take any pictures.  Sorry.

Once we got home, we got ready for bed and Hadley found a new spot that's just right for her.

I also failed to get a picture of Hadley and her dad on this special day.  Don't worry, we'll recreate the special moment.  Standby for a picture or two.

Busy Weekend, Part 1

We had a busy weekend. Our Saturday morning started with an early trip to Walmart (before 8:00 AM) to make sure we had our Father's Day cards!

Once we took care of that business, we came home, ate some breakfast and took a bath (you never know what germs you pick up at your friendly, neighborhood Walmart!).

Then Hadley took a nice morning nap.

Once she woke up we had some lunch...

...and headed to Lexington to finish our Father's Day shopping. Hadley was a trooper and was very patient while we quickly did our shopping.  We made it back home for her afternoon nap (and mine too!).

Then we celebrated Father's Day with my dad that evening. We got to enjoy our dinner outside.

Hadley showed off her walking skills.

The we came home, had a bottle...

...and called it a night.

An Evening at Home

Hadley and Cane looking out the door (well, at least she was until I tried to take the picture).

Holding my baby.

Watching Cane stretch and relax for a minute.

Hadley holding my hand while she takes her bedtime bottle.

Looking at her cute little feet.

Sharing a delicious meal that my sweetie prepared.

Bella praying that I'll share.

Bella and Cane wanting to lick the plates.

Wouldn't trade any of it for the world!

Busy Busy Busy

Hadley has been on a mission to walk lately.  So, this has been my view.

Sorry that every single one of these pictures is blurry.  But that's pretty much what she looks like in person too.  Constantly in motion.

She can regularly take 3-4 steps by herself before she falls into you.  She's taken as many as 6 steps without help!  She has absolutely no fear which keeps everyone one their toes!

10 Months Old

In honor of Hadley turning 10 months old today, I'm posting some of my favorite pictures from the last month. Enjoy!

Take 2

This morning Hadley and I asked Mimi to take our picture.  Well, that's not exactly true.  I asked her.  As it turned out, I was the only one that was in a picture taking kind of mood.  See for yourself.

Good thing I wasn't paying for this photo session.

Sleep Time

Hadley usually likes to go to sleep, whether it's for a nap or for the night.  Unless she's a little overtired. If that's the case, then she'll cry for a minute or two before going to sleep.

She doesn't always go right to sleep though. Sometimes there's a good 10-15 minutes of play before she's ready to call it a night. And we don't go and get her as soon as she wakes up.  We let her hang out in the crib for 10-20 minutes as long as she's happy.

Since we have a video monitor, we frequently look in on her during this "awake but in her crib" time.  Here are some examples of what we see.

But what we really love to see is this...

And this is pretty cute too.

This was as her dad was getting her out of bed one morning.
