For years, I've enjoyed the Mexican Wedding Cookies that Nana (AKA Mrs. Marcum) makes every Christmas! This year, she was sidelined by back surgery and couldn't make them. Turns out, I missed them more than I realized.
As we prepared for our Girl's Trip, it was suggested by Lucy that we make them for our trip. Up until now, these cookies have always been Christmas cookies to me but, since we skipped last Christmas, it sounded like a great idea. I really didn't want to have to wait TWO YEARS to have these cookies again. So, Nana shared her recipe and I brushed off my baking skills!
And now I can rest easy because I know I can always make these cookies and think of wonderful memories of past Christmases and Girl's Trips. Thanks for sharing Nana! As I told you yesterday, "I'll be happy to makes these cookies with you or for you for years to come!"
And I'll be sure to pass the tradition down to this sweet girl!
