I had a great Mother's Day yesterday. Hadley started my day off by delivering a card to me in bed. I heard her walking into the living room telling her dad that it was Mother's Day and that she had a card for me. I was pretty surprised that she remembered first thing in the morning.
Then we went to church and she got to play in the nursery (her favorite part).
Then we went to my mom's for a delicious lunch outside on the porch. The weather could not have been any nicer.
We took some photos and enjoyed just hanging out together.
Then we went home and had some quiet time (since she's not routinely napping anymore).
And I topped off the day with this little treat. Chocolate covered strawberry blizzard. Delicious!
Hadley's enthusiasm for play doh isn't slowing down. The first thing out of her mouth this morning as she walked into our room was, "Can I play with my play doh?"
Followed by lounging on our bed watching cartoons and playing with her sunglasses and yo yo.
She told me several times yesterday, and even once this morning, "Mom, I love you. Happy Mother's Day." There are many times when she pushes her limits but she makes up by being very sweet. Lucky for her, I try to remember the latter. :)
