Rat Tail Update

Story Time Part Two

Tonight after dinner Hadley looked at me...

...and suggested we give story time another try. 

So, she gathered everyone around while she selected just the right book...

Bella and Cane were much better behaved than yesterday.  Very attentive!

Hadley enjoyed chewing reading the book.  It was a great read!

Everyone was pleased with how story time turned out but, most importantly, Hadley was happy!

Story Time

After dinner last night, Hadley invited everyone into her room for a little story time.

After perusing the options...

...she made her selection.

Then she invited everyone to gather around.

She began reading to us...

Then she noticed...

...that Cane wasn't paying attention. So, she did what any good teacher would do. She invited him to read to the rest of us.

You can imagine how successful that was.

Thus, Bella got bored and Hadley had to give her a gentle reminder to pay attention!

After all that excitement, we decided to call it a night.  Hadley returned the book to the shelf...

...and we all vowed to give it another try tomorrow.

Funny Lady

I've mentioned before that Hadley is a happy girl in the morning.  Well, here's proof...

Plus...notice the fake cough at the end.  She's hilarious.

Good Morning

Hadley has been sleeping in a little bit lately.  She normally wakes up around 6:30 but for the last few days she's been sleeping until 7:30.  And all three five of us are happy about it!

And despite the multiple attempts to kill these tulips made by every male dog that passes by our house (Cane included)...they are blooming!

Did I mention that I love tulips? I just wish they lasted a little longer.

Church + Snacks = Success

Hadley and I went to church yesterday.  She was dressed up in her Sunday finest looking very cute.

It was a special service so you know what that means...it lasted forever. 

Of course we had toys to play with which included, among other things, the black patent leather shoe.

But the real secret to our success was snacks! Worked like a charm! I really shouldn't be surprised, and you shouldn't either, because everyone knows how important food is to me! The apple doesn't fall far from this tree. :)

Go Big Blue!

So this morning I had to run a quick errand.  Josh was in charge of giving Hadley a bath.  I told him I would lay out some clothes for her to wear today.  He told me to go ahead and that he would pick out the clothes for her today.  So, I left. And when I came back, he had indeed picked out something very cute and very appropriate for today.

Here she is enjoying a nice walk this morning before the big game.

He's a digger

Cane was visiting his Mimi's house the other day and he found something...

...a mole hole.

Cane isn't normally a digger.  But on occasion he likes to dig. Thursday afternoon, apparently, was that occasion. 

He even got a little tired.

Here he is in action.

And what did Hadley do while Cane dug in the dirt? 
I'm glad you asked...she watched!

Spring has Sprung!

I was looking through some newborn pictures of Hadley and they stopped me in my tracks.  Look how TINY she was!

Every day she's growing and learning and it's awesome to watch!
