Hadley's actual birthday

The morning started with a simple request. A breakfast of peanut butter and jelly sandwich with Cheetos. I obliged and added some candles for fun. She has since requested this same breakfast several times, including candles.

Case was unimpressed. 

The gifts continued as did the excitement. 

After dinner was the requested cupcake because cake is "for big people" and cupcakes are "for little kids." In case you were wondering, she really only eats the icing. 

Then more gifts. 

And more happiness. 

Birthday week kickoff

We started off with Josh's birthday which Hadley gladly helped celebrate.  

She also assisted with card opening. 

Then opened a few of her presents a little early. 

She was quite pleased. 

Then we tried to take some family pictures. 

We had a little meltdown...

...then we were back in business...

...and excited for the next day. 

Pre birthday happenings

Hadley has been taking swim lessons recently. She not quite "water safe" but she is getting there. 

Case has really started to smile lately. The dimples are an added bonus!

And Hadley still loves Play doh.
