Story hour

I was able to go to story hour with Hadley yesterday and I picked a great one to go to because we made ice cream! 

It started off with a story about Curious George. 

Usually more kids attend but we had a last minute change of venue so we might have lost some people. In any event, it worked out well considering the activity. 

Even Case came along for the ride. 

And here's Hadley shaking up her bag of soon to be ice cream. 

And 30 seconds later (if that) she was done shaking the bag. So, I stepped in. I mean, it's ice cream we're talking about so I was willing to help out. After a few minutes of shaking, I passed the baton to Mimi to bring it on home. And that she did! 

And Hadley was pleased with the results as were the rest of us. 

Once we finished the ice cream, we wandered around the grounds. 

By that time baby brother was hungry so it was time to get going!

Simple request

Hadley asked me to get her two things at the grocery store. The first thing was a box of crackers and the second thing was donuts. I remembered the crackers while at the store yesterday but donuts are always better when they are fresh. So this morning we made a donut run!

She spotted the donut case right away. 

Even though she'd already declared that she wanted a donut with sprinkles...they were all out and she never missed a beat when she asked for a cream filled chocolate covered donut! 

The biggest win for me was that she thanked the lady behind the counter without being prompted! I guess being a broken record is beginning to pay off. 

The biggest win for Hadley was the free cookie she received at the deli counter. And it even had sprinkles!

A good way to start the day! 

Well, this is a good way too...

Post move

So we got moved into our new house last weekend. We've been trying to get settled ever since. Here are a few recent pictures. 

Case's belly button fell off!

Hadley's been playing lots of play doh. 

Of course, we've had lots of laundry to do. 

We've been loving on each other. 

Hadley helped her dad install drawer pulls on our cabinets.
