Happy Halloween

Hadley's had some practice wearing her baby long legs costume.

We had some friends over on Friday night to have a little Halloween party. 

Here are Hadley and Max seeing each other for the first time in their costumes.  Hadley thought it was so funny!

And here are our best "attempts" at a getting a picture of the kids in costumes.

 Then on Sunday we went to another Halloween party.

The picture below is right about the time Hadley was feeling the effects from skipping her morning nap.

 

Halloween then and now

This was Hadley last year in her pink skeleton outfit.

She was pretty easy to photograph back then.

Nap time? Who needs that?

On Sunday morning after church, Hadley gave me all the normal signs that she was tired and ready for a nap.  So, off she went into her crib.  I guess she had a change of heart.

A Clean Gene?

 Hadley can make a mess...in an instant.  But lately, I've seen a glimmer of hope.  Here she is cleaning out the Cheerios and Goldfish from her car seat.

And by cleaning...I mean eating.

And I'm trying to nurture her interest in the washing machine. 

She actually helps me load the washing machine and thinks it's FUN! I'm not above making it an awesome game to get her to help!

 

Hadley in church

Hadley and I go to the early service at church for many reasons.

1) It works with her nap schedule.

2) There's a smaller number of people who attend the early service so that...

3) We aren't disrupting as many people when Hadley demands to be seen and heard.

Seriously, right in the middle of communion, she starts YELLING, "BA BA BA BA BA BA" and WOULD NOT STOP!

Until, she realized that food was coming around. Then it was serious business.

Luckily...they like us there and they think Hadley's shenanigans are "cute."

A subtle hint

Recently, Hadley has become a climber.  She's getting really good at it.

I guess we should take the hint and get her one of these...
