Playing with play doh is a favorite activity of Hadley's lately. 

As is painting. 

And it wouldn't be Hadley if she didn't try to paint herself too. 

Sunday evening

After such a busy day of church and the Easter egg hunt, Hadley took a long nap! When she got up, we decided to go check out her brand new slide at her PapPoo's.  But first, we stopped to say goodbye to her yard mowing dad.

Once we got to PapPoo's, she went on a short golf cart ride over to the new slide.

She climbed her stairway to heaven...

...and without hesitation, down she went.

She repeated that same process about 25 more times until she declared she was thirsty.  Then we packed it up and went home.

Easter egg hunt

Just the day before, Hadley wouldn't have anything to do with getting her picture made professionally.  But Sunday was a very different story. The guy on Saturday did not have a live bunny as a prop! That was a huge hit and made all the difference!

Once pictures were made with cousins, the excitement for the egg hunt was clearly building!

And off she went.

Yes, I forgot her Easter basket but...I did remember the camera!

Hadley decided to improve her effectiveness at gathering eggs, she would bring along her Papa to carry her loot.

 

Hadley had a good time and was even more pleased when she realized there was candy inside the eggs!

A mind of her own (god help me)

So, Sunday morning I had a dress all picked out for Hadley to wear to church.  I'm not that particular about what she wears but, she'd never worn this dress and I really wanted to see it on her.

Well, I did get it on her...and then she immediately began telling me, "I do not want to wear this" followed by tears and more tears.  I tried to play it off and just let her calm down and forget it but...not a chance.

So, thankfully we had this outfit that met her approval and we quickly put it on and got out the door to church where we were only about 5 minutes (ok maybe more) late!

But what did she care, she was going to the nursery to play!

Saturday ups and downs

Saturday started off looking pretty good.

Then I got Hadley dressed to go get pictures made for her dance class. Once there, the fun was over.  Admittedly, she's never had her picture taken professionally, with a backdrop, lights, etc. We tried for an hour, with suckers, props, a little bit of force, and several crying episodes until we gave up and left. This was the best I could get.  Hadley with her teacher!

So, then we went to the playground because it was such a nice day.

Then we went home, had lunch, and wound down for a bit.  We tried a nap with no success.  As a last ditch effort I tried to get her to lay down with me and this is what that looked like.

Then we went to Mimi's and helped feed the birds.

And she made sure they had plenty of water.

Although Cane thought it was for him.

We ended the day on a good note.

Disney on Ice

Hadley got to go to Disney on Ice with her Mimi and Aunt Lulu.  They had great seats and Hadley could see all her favorites: "Mickey and Minnie and Donald and Daisy and Goofy and Ariel and..." the list goes on and on!

I'm not sure who had more fun?!

I met up with them for lunch after the show.  Hadley and I took a second to snap a picture after a potty break.  As you can tell, she was fading fast (and she wasn't the only one, I'm sure)!

Then she got a second wind while making our way to the car.

We rounded out the day with a bath and called it a day.

Bath time

Bath times take longer and longer these days. It's about 30-45 minutes of play with 5 minutes of actual bath.
