Pumpkin patch

We went to the pumpkin patch last weekend. Hadley got to pet some sheep and goats.

She saw chickens.

She tried hula hooping.

She wanted to swing for about 30 seconds.

She climbed a hay bale tower.

She led us on a corn maze...

...and spotted some leftover pumpkins.

She got to experience her first porta potty and, I gotta say, it was super clean. So clean that I'm afraid she thinks they will all be this clean.

She asked me to take her picture to capture the memory

Six pumpkins later we headed home.

Playing in the rain

Trying to catch some rain drops on her tongue!

Dance

Hadley had Visitor's Day at her dance class last week. Let me just say, in this instance, these pictures don't even begin to tell the full story. She was not nearly as well behaved as I would have hoped. She was clearly distracted by everyone there. But she ultimately rallied. I'm sure that had nothing to do with the prospect of getting a treat at the end of class. Fingers crossed the next Visitor's Day is better. Not to mention the dance recital!

Case's sweet face

Taking shelter

The other night we took shelter in the basement to wait out some bad storms. Case enjoyed his evening bottle...

...while Hadley serenaded us with some piano music!

The music was so good, it lulled Case right to sleep (kidding, of course).

Early morning selfies

Baking a birthday cake

Hadley was a big help making Mimi's birthday cake!

This is what she did when I told her she could lick the bowl

But she wasn't feeling a picture with her "apron twin."
