Playing with new toys

Hadley is keeping busy with new toys and trying to teach Cane how to play the xylophone. She's going to be busy for a while.

We survived!

We are still digging out of all the new toys and wrapping paper. Hadley had a wonderful Christmas and we're so grateful to all our family and friends for their part in it. We enjoyed lots of time with our family and a little too much food. Here are a few pictures from yesterday and today. I took several hundred pictures with my good camera but...I need to find it. Until then, these iPhone pictures will have to suffice.

First snow

Hadley enjoyed watching the first snow of the year. And, just in case you can't tell, we're getting pretty excited about Christmas!

Mirror mirror on the wall

I think Hadley's favorite part of bath time is looking at herself in the mirror afterwards. See for yourself!

Feeding the dogs

Hadley is starting to feed the dogs. Luckily, I go behind her to even things out a little since she only gave Bella one piece of food in her bowl. Don't worry, Bella considers anything that's on the floor fair game.

Moving right along

Hadley still has a cold but, fingers crossed, she's on her way to recovery. In the meantime, she's still very active...going down the slide (backwards) and playing with Bella and Cane.

My baby has a cold

Sunday morning started off great. We got up, Hadley loved on Cane...

...we had breakfast, and then we got ready for church.

It's always interesting going to church with Hadley.  From one week to the next, you never quite know how she's going to act. Last week, from what I remember, she was pretty easy going.  This week, she was considerably more active and interested in exploring things solo. She started by walking out into the isle.

Then up the isle.

Then to the alter rail.

Then I'd go get her and bring her back to our seats.
Repeat all of those steps three times.

I had been suspecting that Hadley was teething or maybe getting a cold but her mood seemed pretty good and she showed only the occasional sign of a cough/runny nose. So we carried on.

We went home, I tried to put her down for a nap.  She rested but...never really went to sleep from what I could tell.

We went to celebrate her Papaw's birthday which included a gator ride of course.

As the day progressed, it became clear that she had a cold. But contrary to what I expected, she was crazy hyper and busy.  She decided she didn't want to take an afternoon nap, which we both really needed!

So we're now in the middle of cough and congestion and we're hoping it will all clear up very soon!
